STATEMENT THE MIND

 

Our mind through the brain elaborates the ideas that build our world. The Unconscious (internal cube) keeps in our memory isolated and dissociated elements which borrows the Conscious (external cube) for the elaboration of the final product of thought; in this case, man’s invention: the machine. The little sewing machines evoke our childhood, the stage of life where our most powerful and hidden memories are elaborated. As an allegory, “The Mind” has different meaning to the one that is understood initially. It comes from several levels of metaphors "layers" of meanings inside our mysterious mind.

 

ARGUMENTO LA MENTE

 

Nuestra mente a través del cerebro elabora las ideas que construyen nuestro mundo. El Inconsciente (cubo interno) guarda en nuestra memoria elementos aislados y disociados los cuales toma prestado el Consciente (cubo externo) para la elaborar el producto final del pensamiento; en este caso un invento del hombre: la máquina. Las maquinitas de coser evocan nuestra infancia, etapa de la vida donde se elaboran nuestras mas poderosas y ocultas memorias. Siendo esta serie La Mente una alegoría, procede de varios niveles de metáforas ó“capas” de significados dentro de nuestra mente misteriosa.
